We left the house around 2:00 pm and boarded the metrolink train at the Belleville station with our bikes. We rode to the Civic Center station and walked our bikes across to the Amtrak station where our train left at 4:00 pm. We kept our eyes on the skies while the train ran through wave after wave of rain. When we arrived at the Sedalia, MO Amtrak station right at dusk we still had to make our way to the Katy Trail and ride about 4.5 miles to the Best Western where we would spend the night. As we arrived at the hotel we had been riding through a steady mist in the dark and rolled our bikes up to the front desk. Thankfully the hot tub was right outside our door!
